What to expect
Messages go to a person, not a ticket queue. Reports about a specific number get checked against the source first, which usually takes a day or two. If the page is wrong we correct it and change the date at the top so you can see when it changed. If the page is right we write back and explain why — that reply is often more useful than the correction would have been.
Especially useful
- A number that looks wrong. Tell us the page and what you expected. If you have the figure from the bag, the box or the plan, include it — that is the fastest possible route to a fix.
- A calculator we do not have. We would rather build what people actually need than guess. Say what you were trying to buy.
- Something that will not work for you. A broken layout, a field a screen reader skips, anything unusable on your phone. See our accessibility page for what we already know about.
What we cannot help with
We cannot advise on a specific build, size a structural member, or tell you whether something meets code where you live — we are not on site and we are not licensed to. For those questions your building department or a local contractor is the right call. Our methodology page is clear about where the line is.
